Episode 011: Creating Safe Spaces with Natacha Pennycooke

Toxic work environments can negatively affect our mental health, but if we learn to recognize and address the signs, we can use our experiences to create safer spaces.

In this episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with Natacha Pennycooke, an esteemed psychotherapist, international speaker, and clinical consultant.

Natacha's work is grounded in an anti-oppressive, healing-focused, trauma-informed, anti-Black racism lens, and a racial justice framework.

She will be sharing with us her personal experience of leaving an unsafe work environment to establish a secure and thriving practice.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • What fears may surface and how to address them

  • Why you may need to look outside of family and friends for guidance

  • Why creating a community is important to your growth

  • How to go from solo practitioner to group practice
